GUA-SHA MASSAGE
BY Paola
Useful tips for the Gua Sha stone massage.
Use the gua sha preferably in the morning to help eliminate puffiness and drain the face, gliding it at a 45° angle to the skin.
Cleanse your skin using your favorite oil, massaging the right side of the neck with your left hand from the ear to the collarbone and vice versa to stimulate the lymphatic system.
Cheeks and cheekbones
Place the concave part of the gua sha along the center of the face near the nose and mouth and glide it towards the side of the face 8 times.
Eyes and eyelids
Gently drain with the highest tip of the heart shape under the eye using light strokes 8 times per eye.
Slightly lift an eyelid with your fingers and slide the upper tip of the gua sha under the eyebrows 8 times, then switch sides.
Forehead
Starting from the center of the forehead, place the concave part in the center of the forehead and move laterally and gently, barely touching the skin (never vertically), 8 times, moving up to the hairline, then switch sides.
Finish by draining each side of the face with the gua sha, moving from the forehead down the sides to the collarbone.
Chest
Use the concave side of the gua sha and glide it from the center towards the left armpit 8 times, then switch sides.
Neck
Starting from the back of the neck, move upwards to the hairline 8 times and switch sides. Always move from bottom to top. Using the concave part, lightly glide the skin from below the ear along the entire side/front of the neck down to the collarbone, moving from top to bottom.
Chin
Slide the upper part of the heart shape from the middle of the chin to the ear 8 times.
